I think it's ranting season...
Ok, I'm gonna keep this brief, but I need to rant.
1) The USA got it's ass kicked in the "World Baseball Classic"
You know what pisses me off about this? Not that we got clobbered, but because for years now i've been pissed that we have this thing called "The World Series". Honestly, it's the "American Championship", not the F'n world series. Sure, it was named decades ago, when baseballs world was the good ole' USA, but baseball has flourished abroad, and I think it's quite pompous that we haven't adjusted. Here's a quick side note...the Mexican team that whopped our asses gets paid $20 a day per player, and they're all pretty small and skinny. So is the Cuban team who's going up against Japan for the title. How is it that our cash bloated over-developed players got their asses kicked? For the record, baseball on TV bores the shit out of me, but I used to love to play it when I was a kid. I lost one of my precious balls to baseball. My precious...
2) 60 minutes ran a great report about how a White House appointed lawyer, who used to be a Petro industry lobbyist, is editing reports about global warming to make it look like there's no conclusive data about global warming being a threat, and the reasons why. Hmmm....
